How long will the initial appointment with the gas engineer last?
When you get in touch via phone, email, message or social media, we will book one of our most experienced gas engineers for a home visit. This may only take 30 mins of your time and most visits are carried out during normal working hours MON-FRI 9 am-5 pm.
Do I need to prepare for the home visit?
When we visit you will just need to show us where your boiler is located. It would be handy to know its recent history of problems/issues (if any), how old it is, if is it still under warranty and if’s been regularly serviced.
It’s not an issue if you don’t know this info but it will help us decide if the boiler still has economical use before it’s ultimately replaced.
How long does it take to replace a boiler?
Usually within 1 day.
It will really depend on whether or not it’s a straightforward boiler refit. If the boiler is not changing location and most of the pipework is good to reuse then it’s all usually done and dusted in a day.
During your home visit, we will be able to advise further.
How much is a boiler replacement?
This really depends on the boiler brand you choose, where the boiler is located (long flue run, etc) and if there are any other issues like pipework replacement.
You should ideally budget anywhere between £2000-£5000 inc VAT depending on the work involved.
After a home visit you will be sent a quote with 2 -3 options of varying budgets so be sure to let our engineer know your requirements.
Does replacing my boiler create a lot of mess?
When it comes to a straightforward boiler replacement, where we’re replacing the old with the new, rest assured that the process will cause minimal disruption.
