What Is Boiler Cover?

Boiler Cover is a plan you can take out so that it covers you in the event of a boiler breakdown.  The main reason is to give you peace of mind that a SmartGas Engineer will be just a phone call away.  They will come, day or night, to assess the issue and fix the problem.

Not only will you get peace of mind from our boiler cover, but you will also receive an annual boiler service that’s included in all our plans (details below).

Do I need Boiler Cover?

You should check your home insurance to see if it includes boiler cover.  This may be a basic add on so it’s worth knowing exactly what’s included.  

If you’re renting then this falls under the responsibility of the landlord.  It will be worthwhile checking to see if they have you covered or you could ask permission to take out cover personally.

When considering if you need Boiler Cover then it’s worth mentioning there will be a grace period before you can make a claim.  This is to prevent people signing up with an emergency and claiming straight away.  This is often a good reason to sign up sooner rather than later if you don’t want to be without heating or hot water.
